March 23, 2007. The Heraldic Council under the President of the Republic of Belarus decided to establish the emblem and flag of the educational institution “Vitebsk State Technological College”.
The emblem of the educational institution “Vitebsk State Technological College” is a Spanish shield, which is divided by a white band on the left; there are three ornamental stars on it, personifying the glory and flourishing of the human creative forces. Three stars symbolize the possibility of obtaining in college three levels of education – general secondary, vocational and secondary special. The red color of the stars, which is traditional for the Belarusian symbols, is the personification of life, energy, and loyalty to traditions. In the upper left margin of red color an open book is depicted, which is a symbol of wisdom, knowledge, education. Its white color is associated with good and light. In the lower right field of green, symbolizing hope and the possibility of young people coming from different parts of the country to this educational institution, there is a white oak branch with acorns. She personifies the power of knowledge, the high level of professional training of college graduates, who by their work increase the glory and power of the Republic of Belarus.
The college flag is a rectangular cloth with a 5: 3 aspect ratio. On the white stripe, which goes diagonally through the flag from the lower left corner, there are three ornamental stars of red color. The upper part on the left is red. The lower part on the right is green. Three stars, red and green colors are used in accordance with the emblem of the educational institution “Vitebsk State Technological College”. The flag of college visually emphasizes the unity of the processes of training, education and training. It reflects the main characteristic feature of the educational institution: multi-level and continuity of the educational process (general secondary, vocational and secondary special education).
